Our Core Values

Biblical Authority

The Bible is God’s holy Word. It uniquely and infallibly reveals God's plan for His people and how to live out that plan, individually and corporately. All of our plans, priorities and ministries find their foundation in Scripture.

Hebrews 4:12-13, Psalm 119:1-8

Lost People Matter To God

We believe lost people matter to God, and therefore, they matter to the church. We encourage people to discover their own personal evangelism style that can best allow them to reach lost people and introduce them to Jesus Christ.

Luke 5:30–32; Luke 15; Matthew 18:14

Unity in Diversity

We believe that the Multi-Ethnic church reflects God’s desire to reconcile men and women to God thorough faith in Jesus Christ and, as well as reflecting the principles and practices of the early church congregations of faith in which diverse men and women walked, worked and worshipped God together as one for the sake of the gospel.

Acts 10, John 17

Leadership Development

We believe a healthy church will be led by men and women with God-given leadership gifts, as well as a place where leadership gifts are encouraged and developed among emerging leaders. This includes the concepts of empowerment, servant leadership, and intentionality opening doors for new leaders.

Nehemiah 1–2; Romans 12:8; Acts 6:2–5

Passionate Preaching

We believe anointed teaching is the catalyst for transformation in individuals’ lives and in the church. This includes the concept of teaching for life change.

Romans 12:7; 2 Timothy 3:16–17; James 1:23–25

Community Outreach

We believe that our mission is to love our diverse community and embrace them in all areas of our ministry.  One of the easiest ways to evaluate the effectiveness of our church is by how many of our children, teens and adults reflect the community that surrounds us.

Acts 1:8

Personal Spiritual Growth

We believe Christ followers should manifest authenticity and yearn for continuous spiritual growth. This includes the concepts of personal authenticity, pursuit of holiness, and accountability to brothers and sisters in Christ.

Ephesians 4:25–26, 32; Hebrews 12:1;
Philippians 1:6

Worship In Diversity

We believe that one of the greatest expressions of Biblical unity is when people from the wide-ranging personalities, cultures, races, languages, talents, and perspectives come together in worship of the King of Kings.  Worshipping together in unity and mutual love in Christ provides encouragement and value to each one’s expression worship before the Lord.

Revelation 7:9-17

Bold Steps of Faith

We believe that in order to have a powerful impact on our community for the gospel of Jesus, we must be willing to take bold steps of faith. We will set impossible goals, trust in an almighty God, and watch God move.

Ephesians 3:14-21

Leadership in Generosity

We believe that one aspect of spiritual leadership is to give sacrificially to the work God desires to accomplish through the local church.  We realize that the pursuit of kingdom goals will depend on the faithful support of God’s people.

Philippians 2:1–11; 2 Corinthians 8:7

Leadership By Vision

We believe that our vision:  “TOGETHER:  Loving our Community, Transforming Lives, Serving Christ” is one that honors God and compels all those who call Christ Wesleyan home to give the best we have to see it become a reality.

Colossians 3:17; Proverbs 27:17

Culturally Aware

We believe the church should be culturally relevant to the community that surrounds us, while remaining doctrinally pure. This value impacts the ministries we pursue, the facilities, the music incorporated in worship, and the use of arts.

 1 Corinthians 9:19–23

Known For Our Love

We believe loving relationships should permeate every aspect of church life. This includes the concepts of love-driven ministry, ministry accomplished in teams, and relationship building.

1 Corinthians 13; John 13:34–3
